NetDesignPlus is pleased to introduce its Off-Server Backup Service for all NetDesignPlus clients. This service allows you, dear customer, to keep a secured backup copy of your online website on a frequent basis on a remote server other than the server that hosts your website. This backup copy can be performed on a frequency that you select based on the number of times per year that your website backup should be performed. NetDesignPlus Off-Server Backup Service keeps a safe backup copy of your website on a secondary secured server for emergency usage. In the event of a server or hard disk crash, NetDesignPlus will restore your website in the quickest possible manner and with minimal effect with respect to data loss. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

NetDesignPlus offers its web development and design customers a copy of their website / artwork on a CD/DVD once the project is completed. If you don't have this copy, please contact our client service department by email at cs@netdesignplus.net and ask for your project CD copy. The website copy that you get contains the original website that was placed online. This backup copy does not contain any data that you added or that your visitors added during the life of the website. NetDesignPlus also provides you with an On-Server backup copy free of charge along with your hosting service. In normal crash events, we can restore your website with minimal data loss. In the event of a total server destruction or natural disaster, we will only be able to reinstall a fresh copy of your website again. This is where the Off-Site Backup Service comes into action. If your website changes frequently, our Off-Server backup service is the right choice to keep a safe backup copy for emergency use. If your website does not change frequently, you can still use our backup service but on a less frequent basis as described below. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

While we do our best efforts to keep our servers updated from a hardware and software point of view, server crashes and natural disasters are inevitable. Like any other web hosting company, NetDesignPlus is responsible for software updates and server management. We always take our service one step further by offering server monitoring, attack alerts and security checks to ensure your website is safe and secured 24/24 7/7. We also provide our hosted websites with an On-Server backup service free of charge. This, however, does not prevent server crashes from occurring due to hardware failures and natural disasters. In the unlikely event of a server crash, the Off-Server website backup is the only solution to get your website back with a recent copy instead of having to restart your website from scratch. All our servers are equipped with two hard drives / disks: one for your website content and one for backups. Backups are performed every week on Sunday morning. When a hard drive crash occurs, the secondary hard drive is very useful since it helps restore the server back into normal operation with minimal downtime. This, however, does not guarantee protection against natural disasters or extreme hardware failures such as server crashes. Off-Server backups are handy when server crashes or natural disasters occur since they help us restore websites back into normal operation with minimal downtime. Furthermore, since backups are stored on 100Mbps servers, the speed of uploading websites after server crashes and natural disasters is dramatically decreased. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
